The thought of ketchup on fruit makes my stomach hurt.

This reminds me of fifth grade, when a girl in my class ate lemons with salt as a snack at recess. She told me it was good, not sour at all, so I tried it myself. I couldn’t stand it, but the funny thing is since then I’ve heard of other people eating the same thing.

What’s strange is that I knew two guys (not surprisingly related) who both liked ketchup on their McDonald’s apple pie. It’s not pear, but not too far off. I actually watched them eat it. Ugh.

A friend has informed me that Pears and Mayo is very very good. I’ll take her word for it, as I personally hate Mayo. Even my daughter said “I’ll never try that” (but she doesn’t like mayo either).

Another friend that mustard and pears is very good, as it models the whole “sweet and sour” approach to food and works well.
